Look Up Trees
Trees have been fundamental to Emz's recovery from PTSD during 2020/2021 and these paintings represent her learning about the joy of colour, the power of trees and the comfort that can be found in growing a forest of trees in the studio. Some of this series is available to purchase in my shop.

When the UK entered lockdown in March 2020, Emz decided to paint green spaces in London - a series she had been planning for over 10 years on her daily commute into the city. Keeping to her local area for daily walks allowed her to observe and document a time when getting outside became an important thing to do.
Stourhead, my home
Emz grew up on a farm on the National Trust Estate of Stourhead in Wiltshire. This series celebrates the places around this amazing garden that remind her of going round the gardens after dark to sketch these stunning views.
Landscape of Memories
This series was inspired by the fields and views from the Wiltshire Downs that overlook Emz's parents house. She used to sit and sketch these views for hours. These paintings celebrate the colours she remembers.
